Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
engage AG with its head office in Karlsruhe and branch offices in Rostock, Leipzig and Berlin is
a company working in the areas of IP Asset Management and the founding and set-up of
growth-oriented high tech companies. Therefore, the key competence of engage AG is creating
value from intellectual property.
engage AG has been working with leading research institutions in the area of knowledge and
technology transfer for several years. The main focus of these partnerships is identifying technologies
that are expected to have an extraordinarily high growth potential in the future early on.
These technologies are then developed further systematically (Business Development) and will
finally be commercialized (cooperations, licensing, spin offs).
engage AG was founded as part of inno-group in 2003 in order to strengthen and further develop
the focus on the cooperation with leading universities and research institutions that had been
existing ever since 1991. From the start these cooperations were established in the fields of
knowledge and technology transfer.
With its roots in Karlsruhe in the South-West of Germany, engage AG has established itself as a
commercialization partner for public research across various kinds of research organizations
and across research areas. With partners from more than 25 universities and research institutes
all over Germany engage AG manages to acquire critical mass. Most of these partners come
from research centers of the Helmholtz Association and the Leibniz Association as well as from
other leading universities.
