Analysis of the cultural content of architecture

 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
Educated as an architect, but moved into architectural history and theory. Published widely on the analysis of architectural ideas, in historical and contemporary contexts, with reference to appropriate philosophical framworks. This includes work on eighteenth-century aesthetics, archaeological work on a Byzantine settlement in Greece, and studies of popular (ordinary) buildings as well as others that belong in the art world of architecture.
