Brief description of your activity focus
Evaluation and self-assesment of educational achievement, of audio-visual impact, metacognition

Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
I worked as a university professor mainly at Université de Liège from 1968 to 2010 (I am still invited emeritus professor to give 3 courses), but also (from 1985) at University of Paris 13 at the Bobigny faculty of medicine, and, more occasionally in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Spain, Chile, Senegal.

My work in Evaluation of students achievement has taken the form of several books, articles, Excel files and audio-visual presentations in French, in English and in Spanish, on
(1) Multiple Choice Questions conception, writing, scoring and interpreting
(2) General Implicit Solutions (None, All, Missing data and Absurdity) to train and test cognitive vigilance,
(3) Confidence Degrees to test realism in self assessment, spectral quality of answers and degree of mastery, false conceptions and usable knowledge. These last concepts and methods (Partial knowledge and confidence degrees) has been applied in professions where life is at stake : aircraft pilots and mechanics, urgency medics, vets, nursing professions, blood transfusion, patients (suffering of diabetes and other illnesses), and, of course, in other various domains, mainly in Higher Education and at university level.
I developed computer programs and technical support teams to help professors in taking advantage of the concepts and techniques.

As a professor at university level for large groups of students, I developed methods to help professors train and evaluate their students in learning and in reflecting on their mental processes when studying and when answering tests questions. For instance the Metacognitive Spectral Test (MST), the LQRT, RESSAC and CAMEL methods.

I have also developed researches on the conception of audio-visual messages that have educational objectives and on the measurement of their impact on attitudes, knowledge and behaviours.

My publications can be downloaded (for free) from http://orbi.ulg.ac.be (then type leclercq d) where publications are ranked by year of publication.
I can send by mail an updated CV (on request).
