The main focus of our research lies with the investigation of the vertical distribution of aerosols and clouds. This issue is one of great importance, as the variability of the vertical position of aerosols relative to clouds could yield different results in the radiative forcing at the Top Of the Atmosphere. Such a study could only be made possible after the advance of space technology and the launch of satellites, especially designed to retrieve with great detail the position of clouds and aerosols. Using a detailed spectral radiation transfer mode, several experiments can be conducted in order to identify the climate sensitivity to certain types of aerosols.
