The field of expertise of Bérénice Storms is poverty and local poverty alleviation. In this context, she
maintains close contacts with local authorities and social profit organizations. In recent years, the focus of
her research has been on determining a minimum income threshold that is compatible with human dignity.
See is now working on a PHD on reference budgets and social inclusion at the Centre of Social Policy
(university of Antwerp).
