Brief description of your activity focus
Engineering Psychology: Research on how people learn to use technology

Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
I recently completed a PhD in Engineering Psychology at Georgia Tech under the supervision of Dr.
Richard Catrambone. I am now positioned in Reykjavik, Iceland and am interested in working in research
in Europe, whether within a University setting or a research institution. My research focus has been on
how people learn to use technology or new systems, particularly in relation to the information they
require (such as instructions) and the strategy for using this information in the process of training for
optimal performance, learning, and transfer.

My expertise is in the domain of learning and skill acquisition and my studies have trained me well in
research design and statistical analysis. In addition, I have some programming experience (in the last few
years I have only programmed experiments) as I studied computer science shortly to gain practical
knowledge. The specialized software I have used most commonly in my work (not counting Word and
Excel) is SPSS, Macromedia Director, and E-Prime.
