The Faculty of Economics University of Belgrade is a renowned academic institution dedicated to the education and research work in the field of economics. Faculty’s scientific, research and consulting activities are organized in the Scientific Research Centre of the Faculty of Economics (NICEF), which was established in 1974.

According to the available potential and the number and quality of the performed scientific research and commercial (research and consulting) projects, NICEF is the leading scientific research institution, not only in the country but also in the region. During the past decade, it carried out hundreds of projects, innovation and company courses, consulting activities, symposia and the like. Among its clients are Government and ministries of Republic of Serbia, and a number of public and private enterprises.
