AUR is experienced in social/economic research and in innovative actions in the field of creativity, professional-business skills of young people

 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
Agenzia Umbria Ricerche (AUR) is a dynamic public Research Agency of the Umbria Region (Italy) - founded since
the 90s – with qualified experience in social and economic research and in innovative actions to support local
development.
AUR has been identified by the regional government as the statistical institutional interface able to coordinate
local boards that manage other databases (i.e. observatories, regional agencies, etc.) in an integrated data-
framework.
AUR has also gained qualified field experience on studies about life style, expectations, training, educational and
job opportunities for young people, implementing specific surveys carried out with the direct involvement of
children of primary and secondary school, often in collaboration with sectorial no-profit organizations.
AUR manages several projects co-financed by European Structural Funds in the field of creativity, professional and
business skills, mainly targeted to young people in partnership with regional stakeholders and national/European
networks.
Shown below main AUR experiences on the focus area of Co-Creation 01-2017 topic:

1. Promoting entrepreneurship in Schools (“A scuola di impresa” project)
Since four years, Aur is performing a pilot action with the aim of promoting a business culture as well as to
develop an entrepreneurial spirit among young people, through the implementation of practical learning
experiences managing a specific open platform as a strong instrument of networking between schools and
students;

2. Innovative learning and teaching practice (MATES project)
AUR promoted a project dedicated to young umbrians in upper schools. It aimed to improve the level of
mathematic knowledge and of problem solving methodologies, through the creation of a virtual class of
participating pupils and a contest and knowledge-sharing that take place through an online platform accessible to
students and professors.

3. New entrepreneurial creativity approach (Creativity Camp project)
For four years AUR has encouraged the development of an entrepreneurial culture in Umbria, trought a very
stimulating competition among young people. In this way, young people (18-35 years) have been helped to
approach the world of work and entrepreneurship, to be more aware of their potential. But above all it was
stimulated the creation of innovative ideas through the enhancement of creativity and talent.

4. Implementation of an interactive community through Living Lab
On behalf of the Umbria Region, AUR has recently elaborated the feasibility study of the project “MODH –
Monteluce Digital Hub” aimed to create a public Living Lab in Perugia, to turn public buildings no longer used, into
open spaces, digital labs (living lab, fab lab, coworking) aimed to enhance digital skills and foster the
development of new activities linked to the Digital Agenda Strategy for the Region and aimed to creation of Smart
Citiy Culture.
