Dr. Egle Butkeviciene gives lectures on Community Development and NGOs, Social Innovations, Third sector and
Public Policy, Information society, Sociological Theories. Dr. Egle Butkeviciene has also a broad international
experience as visiting teacher at universities in Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, etc.
Dr. Egle Butkeviciene has been participating in a number of international projects: 6th FP projects (e.g.
“iCamp, CINEFOGO Network of Excellence), other international projects (“ICT and Public Access: Investigating
the social and economic impact of public access to information and communication technologies”, “Social
partnerships and local social innovations in rural restructuring“, etc.). Currently she is a national representative
at Management Committee in COST Action “Dynamics of Virtual Work.
Dr. Egle Butkeviciene is/was a governmental expert at the EC H2020 Programme Committee for Societal
Challenge 6 Europe in a changing world – Inclusive, Innovative and Reflective Societies, an expert evaluator of
7th FP projects, expert of Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (CQAHE), expert of Research
Council of Lithuania, a national expert (Lithuania) in 6th FP project „ICT for ALL” („The social impact on ICT and
their limited reach to potentially excluded communities: Measuring the problem and undertaking initiatives for
its effective mitigation”). She was part of the expert group for Roadmap Development of Lithuanian scientific
research infrastructures 2008 -2018. She also has an experience in coordinating implementation of surveys with
nationally representative samples. The major attempt in this field is International Social Survey Programme
(ISSP, www.issp.org) and European Social Survey (ESS).
