Applied linguistics; the use of new technologies for learning & teaching; ageing studies.

 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
My three areas of expertise and competency are:

1. Applied linguistics: the learning and teaching of a second or foreign language.

2. The use of new technologies for learning & teaching: I teach the new pedagogies and new learning opportunities of both older and newer (Web 2.0 and Web3) opportunities.

3. Ageing studies: I am studying the progress of this field and have initiated teaching that provides a broad overview of it, and research into older learning in higher education, and in the learning of music at a later age.
