Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
My research area is mediation as a method of dispute resolution and although some of my research has been using
mediation in the construction industry I have also looked at the use of mediation more widely in commercial
contexts.

I have worked with other people and at present have just submitted a chapter on the English jurisdiction for an
international review of court-connected mediation in the construction industry this will cover some European
countries as well as other commonwealth countries and common law countries.

I am currently looking for funding in the area of the regulation, standardisation and training of mediators, which is
a growing area of interest in many countries (including parts of the EU) and if there were opportunities for looking
at the different approaches in the EU this might be a fruitful source of information/data that would inform current
developments in the UK.
