Prof. Serena Baldin is Associate Professor of Comparative Public Law at the University of Trieste (Italy).
She is the author of two monographs as well as several articles in Italian,
English, and Spanish, in the field of comparative and european constitutional law.
Serena Baldin has recently coordinated an interdisciplinary research project on sustainable development in Latin
America, with several contributions of legal scholars, sociologists, philosophers.
At present, she is editing an interdisciplinary book on immigration in Europe, with several contributions of
Italian and foreign legal scholars, sociologists, historicians, political scientists. Moreover, she is also involved in an
interdisciplinary research project on cultural heritage in Europe.
Prof. Serena Baldin has a long experience in managing interdisciplinary research teams.
She is Co-Editor of the interdisciplinary book series Biblioteca della società aperta, edited by the University of
Trieste Press, and member of the Editorial Board of the interdisciplinary journal Poliarchie/Polyarchies, edited by
the University of Trieste Press.
She is also member of the Editorial Italian Staff of the Spanish legal journal Revista general de Derecho Público
Comparado (Iustel, Madrid), and member of the Editorial Staff (Trieste division) of the Italian legal journal Diritto
pubblico comparato ed europeo (il Mulino, Bologna).
She acts as peer reviewer for Italian and foreign journals and for doctoral thesis in law.
