Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
I am Associate professor of social psychology at the Université Paris Ouest - Laboratoire Parisien de Psychologie
Sociale (LAPPS), a member of the Scentific committee of the Serge Moscovici international network.
I am PI on the XTREAMIS-DP for H2020 (Xenophobia, Radicalism in Europe, Anti-semitism, Islamophobia –
Deradicalisation and Prevention), a project funded by the French Research Agency grant (17 countries) to Bid on
a H2020 Call (I manage and coordinate the project).
I conduct social psychological and interdisciplinary research on the social thinking about collective risks and
threats (radicalisation, terrorism, safety, health, corporate, crises in the economy and the environment, etc.). My
interdisciplinary experience includes working with other social scientists (economists, sociologists, historians,
ethnologists, anthropologists) as well as with mathematicians, biologists, physicists, etc. While i also use
qualitative (ethnographic) methods, the theoretical foundation of my research is the experimental and structural
approach to the Social Representations Theory, its links with the Identity theories, and applications to intergroup
relations, organizations, consumer psychology, etc. My research is regularly published in scientific journals.
I am a member of COST Action IS 1205 (Social psychological dynamics of historical representations in the enlarged
European Union) ; of the European Commission Lifelong Learning Programme Children’s Identity and Citizenship in
Europe Academic Network ; of the Sorecom European Excellency Academic network (now Erasmus Mundus) ; and
a former co-coordinator Erasmus European Program in Social Sciences. I served as Erasmus Academic Coordinator
for student and staff mobility at the universites of Aix-Marseille and Reims Champagne-Ardenne.
International and national projects beyond EU Framework Programme
I coordinate XTREAMIS-DP (Xenophobia, Radicalism in Europe, Anti-semitism, Islamophobia –
Deradicalisation and Prevention), a multidisciplinary project funded by the French Research Agency grant (17 countries)
to Bid on a H2020 Call.
