Brief description of your activity focus
Greek and Roman archaeology. Ancient urbanism. Greek architecture. Greek and Roman architecture in relation with religion.

Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
I have conducted excavations in Greece (sanctuary of Heracles in Thasos, Hypostyle Hall of Argos 1978-83 and 2011-) and Turkey at Sulusaray (1991-2) and predominantly in Xanthos-Letoon (Wrold Heritage site, 1984-2010).
My current researches focuses on Greek architecture in the Hellenistic period and on the relations between religion (processions), urban layout and architecture in Greek and Roman times in all the Mediterranean area. I aim at updating our knowledge of Greek and Roman architecture by opening new approaches using semiotics and the crossings of data.
