Working towards a shared and sustainable economic development for the Mediterranean

 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
Since 2002, ANIMA Investment Network has acquired considerable experience and capacity in the following main areas:

• Business intelligence & Promotion of the MED territories
- Identification of key domains for the global positioning of the Mediterranean;
- Mapping of business support organisations, clusters, innovation poles, business events;
- Studies and guide books on sectoral investment & business opportunities, entrepreneurship & innovation, inclusive economic development, Diaspora, etc.
- Observatories on investment & partnership projects (ANIMA-MIPO) and Observatory of investment funds (MedFunds) targeting the MED countries;

• Networking & Capacity-building
- EuroMed Academy: organisation of training & experience-sharing seminars for economic development actors on topics related to economic development, industrial and cluster strategies, attractiveness and economic partnerships;
- Mobilisation and coaching of thematic business networks to drive their partnerships in the Mediterranean;
- Conferences and awareness raising events (Investment in the MED region, Diaspora, entrepreneurship, Socially Responsible Investing, Innovation and clusters, etc.);
- Mentoring: coaching of entrepreneurs by business and financing experts, support to access to finance;

• Support to partnerships
- Portfolio of cooperation profiles from companies and clusters in various sectors, territories, etc.;
- Organisation of business events (matchmaking for clusters and enterprises);
- Organisation of investor workshops (connecting start-ups and investors);
- Support to co-production and technology transfer from SMEs.

• Cooperation engineering
- Identification of financing opportunities to support economic integration in the EuroMed region;
- Development and coordination of successful projects in priority sectors and themes;
- Support to partners in designing their projects and closing their consortia;
- Policy dialogue towards the EU and national/international institutions;
- Individual continuous coaching of 10 French competitiveness clusters in their cooperation strategy with the Mediterranean.

ANIMA is the leader of the EDILE project - Economic development through inclusive and local empowerment (www.edile-initiative.org), funded by the ENPI CBC MED programme

ANIMA is the leader of the MedGeneration project - Mobilising econocmic diasporas for Mediterranean développement (www.medgeneration.eu), funded by the ENPI CBC MED programme

ANIMA is the leader of the LACTIMED - Promoting Mediterranean dairy products (www.lactimed.eu), funded by the ENPI CBC MED programme

ANIMA is partner in the DIAMED project - Migration, training and support for employment and local development, funded by the European Commission

ANIMA was the leader of the Euromed@change project (2013-2014) – Pilot project on SMEs and clusters internationalisation, a preparatory action initiated by the European Parliament and implemented by the European Commission (DG Enterprise and Industry)

ANIMA was partner in Medibtikar (2006-2010), the Euro-Mediterranean Innovation and Technology Programme (www.medibtikar.eu), a European project devoted to helping MED countries in acquiring new and improved instruments for stimulating innovation
