Brief description of your activity focus
My current research examines the breadth and depth of transnational public spheres using media data from around the globe.

Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
I have expertise in political communication, international relations, and comparative politics broadly. My own research more specifically examines framing (media framing and collective action framing), transnational social movements, and Muslim politics, and I have regional expertise in the Middle East and former Soviet Central Asia. My research employs both quantitative and qualitative methods, and I make heavy use of various content analysis techniques (both hand and automated coding).
