 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
Degrees in political sciences (1992) and history (1991). Since 1999, he has been a research manager at HIVA in the department Work and Organisation. Currently he is head of the unit. His research field
includes industrial relations, employee participation and quality of work. The expert has a longstanding expertise in policy-oriented social research, By conducting and managing European and Belgian research on industrial relations, employee participation, wages, job quality, employee-driven innovation, research infrastructure in recent years, he developed a) important expertise on European policy and b)
assembled a range of valuable personal contacts at the national and international level. He is a leading partner of the European Working Conditions Observatory (Eurofound) and has been involved in the EU FP-projects SIREN, RESPECT and PIQUE. He is currrently the coordinator of the large-scale SSH research infrastructure project InGRID, which is focusing on the transnational integration of research instruments (data, surveys, etc.) for European expertise on inclusive growth (European comparative research on poverty, social policies, vulnerability and job quality).
