The Centro Europeo de Empresas e Innovación de Burgos is a non-profit organisation founded in 1994 by the following partners: Agency of Economic Development of Castilla y Leon, City Council of Burgos, Provincial Government of Burgos, Caja de Burgos and Caja del Círculo de Burgos (Saving Banks), Technological Institute of Castilla y León, Federation of Burgos Managers Associations and Association of Burgos Young Managers.
CEEI-Burgos is an active member of the European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN), working also under ESINET framework (European Space Agency Business Incubation programme). CEEI-Burgos is member of other organisations such as ANCES (National Association of Spanish BICs), PAIT (Spanish official network for creation of new companies) and PIDI (Spanish R+D+I network).
Main services offered by CEEI-Burgos are the following:
* Incubation facilities: 4.981 m2.
* Entrepreneurs and SMEs services (business plan, advising and mentoring).
* Microfinance.
* Training and e-learning.
* National and international co-operation.
* Regional, rural and local development.
* Renewable energies, biotechnology and innovative SMEs promotion and development.
CEEI-Burgos has a broad experience, both co-ordinating and partnering, in European projects, including interregional cooperation and structural fund financed ones such Interreg VIC (Project DIFASS), Interreg IVB SUDOE (Project CYBERSUDOE), FP7 (Project DIGIBIC), Leonardo (Project DIALE), Inter-A(Interact), Duero-Douro Programme ( Interreg IIIB), E-TIC (Regional Government of Castilla y Leon, ERDF), Core Business, Resinbuil, Biobusiness, Probio (Intelligent Ennergy), Hidrosolar21(LIFE). Several projects also carried out under AL-Invest, and Asia-Invest schemes.

 International and national projects beyond EU Framework Programme
Since 1994 CEEI-Burgos has carried out different projects which have taken place all over Europe, Latin America
and in some other countries. Main projects are the following:

- Leonardo da Vinci Programme:

Project DIALE on deep learning through dialogue, under Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation programme
scheme, with a total budget of 276.000 Euros. 2010 – 2012.

- Seventh Framework Programme:

Currently partnering the project DIGIBIC - Establishment of a European Creative Industries Network-, under
Interreg 7 FP scheme, with a total budget of 1.698.000 Euros.

- Alterner, LIFE and IEE Programmes:

CEEI-Burgos took part as partner in Core Business project (Promotion of Renewable Energies among
communities). Recently working also as partner in RESINBUIL project (RE applications in buildings with a global
budget of 600000 Euros), PROBIO (Biodiesel chain promotion with a budget of 965000 Euros), and HIDROSOLAR
21 (Hydrogen technology, budget 3300000 Euros).

CEEI-Burgos is also the lead applicant and co-ordinator of BIOBUSINESS project (Business opportunities in biomass
sector for SMEs). Global budget 572000 Euros.

- Interreg programme:

Currently partnering the project DIFASS on promotion and design of financial schemes for SMEs, under Interreg
IVC programme with a total budget of 3.077.054.- Euros.

Project CYBERSUDOE on promotion of TICs among SMEs, under Interreg IVB Sudoe scheme with a total budget of
1.641.000 Euros.

- AL-Invest Programme:

CEEI-Burgos took part in several projects as partner since 2000 year in different sectors. These events are
international co-operation meetings in Latin America or the EU organized in order to foster commercial,
technical, financial or technological agreements between companies, mainly SMEs, from both sides of the Atlantic

- ASIA-Invest Programme:

CEEI-Burgos is working in various projects as partner since 2003 year in different sectors. These events are
international co-operation meetings in Asia or the EU organized in order to foster commercial, technical, financial
or technological agreements between companies, mainly SMEs, from both continents.

- Interact Programme:

INTER-A project: Study of best practices on innovation and co-operation among Interreg projects in their
different strands. This project is currently been developed along with other 14 BICs from different countries of
the EU.
