Brief description of your activity focus
I study socio-cultural integration in the context of mergers, internationalization of EM-MNCs and management in CEE.
Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
I have been working as a professor HES since February 2012. I am particularly interested in international collaborations such as mergers and acquisitions, joint-ventures and greenfield investments.
For my doctoral research, I studied integration processes of West European companies in Poland (2005, doctorate, Warsaw School of Economics, Poland). As a post-doctoral fellow, I investigated shared identity development in a European merger in Mexico (2007-2010: financed by the Fonds dappui à linternationalisation, University of Geneva). I also participated in a faculty exchange on managing across cultures between the University of Geneva and the Graduate School of Management (2007-2008: financed by the Programme de coopération scientifique et technique helvético-russe). Currently, I investigate cross-cultural challenges to emerging market multinationals establishing in Europe (often through M&As) and I also participate in a project on deviant behaviors comparing Switzerland, Poland and Ukraine.
