EURO 3-2014: European societies after the crisis
Study of the relationships between MPs and citizens against the backdrop of new emerging populisms across Europe
in the post crisis era. The idea is to analyze whether national and European MPs and citizens bridge the gap
affecting how politicians (and institutions) represent and relate to citizens and the role of ICT on this process. The
erosion of the representative link has open a populist door in European politics through which more citizens are
entering. Against this background, it is convenient to know whether citizens and politicians (MPs) are diverging or
become more similar across different dimentions of representation (demographic, simbolic, sustantive).
